Monitors and maintains records of attendance.Participates, conducts and ensures regular safety meetings and training sessions are held.Conducts safety inspections and orders safety equipment per safety guidelines to ensure compliance with safety regulationsMonitors kiln burning operations and raw mill and finish mill grinding operationsReviews production data and prepares reports.Assists employees with production problems and ensures satisfactory production operations.Assists in resolving union problems and grievanceSupervises record keeping and monitoring of BIF operating parameters as generated from the plant control room.Serves as Alternate Emergency Coordinator for the Emergency Response Team.Attends RCRA training for waste-derived fuel activities.Orders tools and supplies needed for use in the manufacturing process.Requests and supervises repairs and preventive maintenance performed on the mills, kilns, and other machinery used in production operations.Provides information regularly to management regarding current operations and manpower statusAdditional duties as assigned by supervisorTo succeed in this position, you will need:Vocational/Technical degree in production, process control, or related field is required3 years of experience in production with an emphasis on process control in a similar industry is preferredAbility to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skillsAbility to lead/manage othersKnowledge of production operations involved in the industry, kiln-burning techniques, and processesKnowledge of the mill grinding, process control design, inventory estimation using geometric calculations and machines utilized in the production processKnowledge of air permit regulations and safety requirementsAbility to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to make sound independent judgments regularlyAbility to work under general supervision on assigned objectivesAbility to refer to supervisor for guidance on unusual problems or circumstances.What's next for you?We provide stability and advancement opportunities across North America.
