CLICK HERE: Military VideoOur Three Main Business Groups that you could be assigned to:Building Automation: HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, & Mechanical/Electrical ServicesFire/Life Safety: Fire Alarm, Mass/Emergency Communication, and Sprinkler/SuppressionSecurity: Integrated Surveillance and Access ControlsTechnical Project ManagementWhen supporting our Project Management teams, you will coordinate and deliver multiple, simultaneous Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security projects of various complexities in commercial buildings. You will also strategically manage fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.Responsibilities and learning opportunities include but are not limited to:Review project contracts, specs, and drawings to establish intentDevelop and maintain project schedules, coordinate team needs, and identify time-sensitive installationsManage supply requisitions and oversee materials procurementReview plans, participate in cost reviews, and assist in subcontractor contractingConduct orientation for technicians, provide project documentation, and track resourcesDocument events impacting schedule, scope, and efficiencyPursue change-order opportunities and coordinate billingSchedule commissioning resources and provide documentationExpedite mark-ups for as-built developmentComplete project-specific close-out documentationDesired Military Experience, Backgrounds and/or Aptitude, but not limited to:Civil Engineering (HVAC & Electrician)/ Gas Turbine ElectriciansMechanical/Electrical/Electronic SystemsAutomation/Integration TechniciansNuclear Engineering/Power/Energy & Nuclear Plant OperatorSatellite/Radar SystemsComm TechsFire Control NavaidsSubmarine Electronics/Computer TechsAvionics Systems & moreYou'll make an immediate impact by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Only active military personnel will be considered for this internship and program acceptance requires military approvalSelected candidates will continue to be paid under their current wage/benefits provided by the US Military and will not be paid by Siemens directly throughout internship participationHigh school diploma or state-recognized GED requiredDemonstrated experience and/or applied knowledge/aptitude in the following:Electro-mechanical aptitudeTechnical experience supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, construction (MEP) or other related systemsProject management experience to include project scope, scheduling, documentation, resource allocation and fiscal responsibilityExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team membersAbility to work on-site and travel within assigned local area as neededQualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United StatesMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsPreferred Qualifications:U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)Associate or bachelor's degree(Automation specific) Experience in demand-side energy services or Certified Energy Manager preferredFamiliarity or experience with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systemsReady to create your own journey?
