We want you to applyJob Summary and QualificationsAs a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life - one surgery at a time.Your responsibilities will include:Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standardsMonitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality carePreparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needsSafely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organizedWorking closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeriesWhat qualifications you will need:Sterile Processing Certification required (CRCST or CSPDT) within 18 months of start dateMust have knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies, surgical instrumentation, and medical terminology.Must be able to appropriately and effectively react to requests for emergency supplies.BLS current or within 30 days of hireOne year Central Sterile Processing experience is preferredPossess the ability to work Monday - Friday and rotating weekends, 3p - 11pEstablished in 1974, Henrico Doctors Hospital is a 340-bed community hospital offering cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, physical therapy, womens services and a 24/7 emergency department.
