CareersPlumbing DesignerRogers, ArkansasAs part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this Plumbing Designer will be responsible for developing plumbing designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to leading the planning, design, and commissioning of:Building domestic water systemsBuilding sanitary sewer systemsBuilding roof/storm drain systemsAdditionally,In addition, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, and coordination with regional offices. Assisting engineers in the plumbing system design of building projects. Following quality assurance and quality control plans.Abilities and attributes needed for this position:Knowledge of building plumbing system principlesInterfacing with project teams on project design, delivery, and construction.Managing project budget and schedule compliance.Plumbing design of building projects throughout the project lifecycle from the conceptual phase, design phase, and construction phase.Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawingsUtilize software based calculation tools for design calculationsManage multiple assignments concurrentlyBe responsible for time management and product qualityFollow Quality Assurance and Quality Control PlansBe responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the team.RequirementsA minimum of 5 years of building plumbing system design and construction experienceMust have a knowledge base building plumbing system principals related to building plumbing system designsProven experience with plumbing system designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projectsMust have strong communication and team collaboration skillsExperience with Autodesk RevitMust be proficient with MS Office SuitePreferred SkillsMedical gas system design experiencePetroleum, oil, and lubricating (POL) design experienceFood service plumbing systems design experienceFire sprinkler system design experienceExperience with AIA MasterSpecGrow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
