Job Title: DrafterJob DescriptionAs a Drafter, you will assist in the planning and preparation of detailed drawings by applying standardized drawing techniques. This role involves working from detailed sketches, verbal instructions, and notes under the guidance of an engineer. You will be responsible for collecting initial drawings, calculations, and design ideas from engineers and combining the relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.ResponsibilitiesApply company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures to draft control schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment connection diagrams.Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.Provide a range of drawing production work including problem analysis, layout, detailing, and drafting on projects of substantial variety and complexity.Engage in drafting activities with designers and drafters in other disciplines.Communicate and correspond with internal design resources and external clients and personnel.Execute design changes and project drawing revisions.Maintain CAD proficiency and work toward mastering current CAD systems.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCADExperience with MicrostationStrong design and drafting abilitiesCAD proficiencyAbility to work with design software such as Revit, Solidworks, Civil 3D, and structural design toolsAdditional Skills & Qualifications* Associate of Science in Drafting* Bachelor of Science in Engineering TechnologyWork EnvironmentThe work environment involves using advanced design software and tools, including AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Solidworks, and Civil 3D. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.
