In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the delivery function which includes safely operating a motor vehicle, delivering merchandise and customer service. You will be expected to pull and prepare orders to be delivered to customers and ensuring that deliveries are timely and correct via established routes. You will complete appropriate paperwork for delivered merchandise per company procedure and/or customer/vendor instruction. You will maintain an orderly vehicle and will be expected to follow company policy regarding vehicle maintenance, services and driver policies.Typical duties include but are not limited to:Load and unload merchandise using necessary machinery and toolsOperate forkliftsPerform daily DOT inspectionsEnsure orderly vehicleComplete appropriate paperwork for delivered merchandiseFollow company policies regarding vehicle maintenance, services and driver policiesAssist the inside sales representatives and/or warehouse personnel as neededMust be able to lift/maneuver up to 50lbs. without machinery assistanceSkills & Qualifications:High School DiplomaMust be able to pass DOT Physical, background check and drug screenClean driving recordAbility to interpret instructionsAbility to operate a motor vehicleAbility to operate warehouse machineryMust be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basisAbility to sit for several hours at a timeQualificationsCome see why Century A/C Supply's Gung Ho Culture has been recognized by the Houston Chronicle as a Top Workplace and one of the Top 100 Privately-Owned companies headquartered in Houston.
