We offer the opportunity to be a part of our team crafting these critical, technically challenging parts that are installed in facilities all over the world.Job DescriptionWhat does the job involve?The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the cleaning, prepping, and shipment of products and field service supply's worldwide. The position coordinates domestic & export packaging, logistics, and all related paperwork as required.What will my responsibilities include?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Review drawing specifications for cleaning, package preparation, and painting requirements of every order.Ensure finished products meet or exceed requirements prior to shipment.Proactively communicates and prepares essential paperwork-packing lists, estimated weights/dimensions, and schedules for freight forwarders & CSR's in a timely manner.Maintains warehouse inventory in a neat, organized fashion.Ensure products are packaged appropriately to preclude damage in transit.Reviews freight instructions for each order; arranging product pickup with applicable trucking or airfreight companies.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews backlog daily and communicates with Manufacturing on current schedules.Quotes freight carriers to ensure company is receiving competitive rates.Obtains budget costs for packaging & logistics to estimating department.Maintains contact with export craters & freight forwarders to provide timely updates to relevant staff.PERFORMANCE MEASURMENT:Logistics pre-planned and paperwork prepared without requests from other departments.No freight claims resulting from improper packing.Customer feedback on cosmetic appearance and arrival of goods in safe manner.QualificationsWhat key skills and experience do I need?1-2 years of Ocean and Air cargo shipping and logistics experience a must.Must have a working knowledge of US export regulations.Must be proficient with Computers and Microsoft office suite of products.2-3 years of supervisory experienceWhat qualifications should I have?Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires the management of multiple projects at one time.Excellent writing and communication skills.Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.Excellent professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with other departmentsAdditional InformationWhy join Senior Flexonics Pathway?Senior Flexonics Pathway's compensation package includes competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package along with wellness benefits, an employee recognition program, matching 401k plan, paid vacation and tuition reimbursement.Trade Compliance StatementAccess to our facility is restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, U.S. Nationals, U.S. refugees, asylees, or temporary residents under amnesty provisions), and to properly licensed foreign persons.
