UPMC Williamsport is seeking a full-time CT Technologist to join our team and make a meaningful impact on patient care.Why Choose UPMC?Sign-On Bonus:$20,000 for a 2-year commitment for eligible hiresLoan Repayment:Up to $9,000 for December 2023 or later graduates that qualifyComprehensive Benefits:Health Insurance, PTO, Retirement Plans, Parental Leave, Tuition Assistance, and morePosition PurposePerform imaging procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform CT procedures using established protocols, including contrast administration.Operate advanced imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data.Ensure accurate coding, tracking, and archiving of exams; enter charges appropriately.Administer oral, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patient risk factors.Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns.Apply independent judgment to adjust protocols for optimal diagnostic results.Demonstrate strong teamwork and patient-centered care with dignity and respect.Verify patient identity using two identifiers and follow universal protocol.Document patient history and maintain accurate electronic records.Perform venipuncture and operate power injectors per department standards.What We’re Looking ForSkilled CT Technologists with a passion for patient care and technical excellence.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous learning.Ready to take your career to the next level?Apply today and join a team that values your expertise, supports your growth, and rewards your dedication.Education:Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.Certification Requirements:ARRT registry eligible technologists must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of hire.CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of obtaining the primary registry or date of hire if already certified.CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire.Licensure, Certifications, and ClearancesRequired Certifications:ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist or CNMT certification.CT registry within required timeframe.CPR or BLS certification (AHA standards including didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire.Additional Requirements:All CT Technologists working in NY facilities performing contrast media injection must be certified by ARRT or NMTCB and licensed through the New York State Department of Health.Mandatory Clearances:Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal)Act 33 (with renewal)Act 34 (with renewal)Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal)UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
