Lead Security Technician (South Bend):On behalf of our security technology client, Procom is searching for a Lead Security Technician for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client's South Bend office.Lead Security Technician - Job Description:Our client is seeking a Lead Security Technician to oversee large-scale security installations within new data center construction projects. The role involves supervising a team of technicians and ensuring the integration and commissioning of physical security systems meet quality and compliance standards.Lead Security Technician - Responsibilities:• Lead and supervise a team of technicians installing CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarms, and related security systems• Oversee system installation, integration, configuration, and testing according to design specifications• Coordinate daily activities with construction, electrical, network, and project management teams• Ensure installations meet quality standards and all regulatory, code, and safety requirements• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and problem resolution during installation and commissioning• Train and mentor junior technicians in installation practices, best practices, and safety procedures• Maintain accurate documentation on installations, configurations, test results, and project status• Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure equipment delivery and proper installation• Support post-installation testing, validation, and warranty period troubleshooting• Travel frequently to project sites as neededLead Security Technician - Mandatory Skills:• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum 5 years of experience installing and commissioning physical security systems• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in the field• Strong hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, alarms, and intrusion detection• Experience working on new construction or large infrastructure projects, ideally in data centers• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and system design documentation• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationLead Security Technician - Nice-to-Have Skills:• Technical certification (e.g., NICET, CompTIA Security+)• Familiarity with low voltage systems and basic IT networking concepts• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and team leadership skills• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and system design documentation• Experience in enterprise, healthcare, education, government, or retail industriesLead Security Technician - Assignment Length:This is a permanent position.Lead Security Technician - Start Date:ASAP.Lead Security Technician - Assignment Location:South Bend, Indiana, United States.
