In this role you will both self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the roadway group.The Impact You Will HaveMentor and direct the advancement of the technical skills of staff while executing projectsManage technical elements of a project, including assessing what analyses need to be completed, and what is the correct approach (i.e. software, design assumptions, etc.) for that analysisEnsure the development of high-quality engineering documentsCommunicate technical progress and issues to Project Manager in a timely and ongoing mannerAdhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project trackingContribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor, as neededProvide input into the growth of the practicePerform, review, and manage technical analysis and design. Take responsibility for the completeness of design details and ensure compliance with PQMPWork toward being a leading subject matter expert of targeted elements within the disciplineWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineeringPE LicenseNCDOT experience preferred Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment relating to a variety of tasksAdvanced knowledge of software appropriate for roadway design, showing proficiency in most programs specific to this role/disciplineAdvanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards that govern roadway designExperience in MicroStation is required and experience in Open Roads Design is highly desirable #LI-MF1Explore the Benefits of Working at BeneschAt Benesch, we prioritize the health and wellness of our employees, understanding that their well-being is crucial for both personal and professional success.
