Job Title: Phlebotomist ILocation: Stuart, FLDuration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Rotational Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM)Position Overview:The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while performing high-quality blood collection and specimen preparation for laboratory testing. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient trust and confidentiality.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for clinical and forensic testing following established protocols.Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment in compliance with safety and HIPAA standards.Accurately document patient information and maintain required records in EHR systems.Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and confidence.Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold organizational values in patient interactions.Support daily operations under the direction of the area supervisor, ensuring timely and error-free work.Requirements:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required); Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Keyboard/data entry proficiency required.Flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.Additional Details:Candidate must reside within 20–25 minutes of Stuart, FL and have reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not acceptable).Must adhere to attendance and punctuality standards; excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
