We will review your application and contact you.Position DescriptionER Snell is looking to hire an experienced Roadway Safety Officer. This person will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining safe roadways at the job sites.The Safety Officer will manage traffic flow, conduct thorough investigations following accidents, and ensure that safety protocols are adhered to.Utilize traffic monitoring systems aids in effective management and swift response to potential hazards.Manage disputes and diffuse road rage situations.Conduct road safety audits and inspectionsWork closely with Project Owners, PM's, Superintendents, and sub-contractors to ensure implementation of safety policiesCollaborate with law enforcement agencies on road safety initiatives.Educate and train employees on health and safety standards.Order non-standard or specialized safety equipment needed on the project.Other safety-related duties as may be assignedPosition RequirementsMinimum of 3+ years' experienceBilingual - Fluency in Spanish is preferredOSHA 510 - OSHA Construction Standards/OSHA 511 - OSHA General IndustryOSHA 500 -Trainer- Construction/OSHA 501 -Trainer- General IndustrySTS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor -Construction)STS (Safety Trained Supervisor)CHST- Construction Health and Safety TechnicianOSHT - Occupational Hygiene and Safety TechnicianSafety Management Training / Advanced Safety Management TrainingEmergency Management TrainingFirst Aid - CPR & AEDGood MVR & Background checkBasic Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft OutlookMust work well independently and as part of a teamPhysical & Mental Demands:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsFrequent standing and walking required throughout a work shiftMust be able to work at heights up to 70 feetMust be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl occasionallyMay work some nights and weekendsEqual Opportunity EmployerE.R.
