POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESProvides a therapeutic milieu for hospitalized children, specifically addressing their psychosocial and developmental needs. Responsible for daily therapeutic interventions and supervision of Foster Grandparents, volunteers and students assisting the Child Life Program.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelors Degree in Child Life, Psychology, Child Development, Special Education or related field is required. Completion of a Child Life internship from an accredited Child Life Program is required. Prefer at least one year of full time experience in a Child Life Program.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONMust be eligible for professional certification by the Child Life Commission within six months of hire date. A fully certified Child Life Specialist is preferred.
