This OpportunityWSP is currently seeking an On-Call Assistant Construction Inspector to join our team in Los Angeles. This position is imminent and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately. Be involved in projects with our Inspection Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.Your ImpactInspect and document project related construction activities for conformance to project plansThe qualified candidate(s) will work at various client construction project sites in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas inspecting and assessing construction activitiesExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needsWho You AreRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.ICC licenses in concrete, structural steel welding, masonry, fireproofing and soilsExperience in inspection of concrete, structural steel, masonry, fireproofing, reinforcing steel, and soils.Valid state driver's license.Self-motivated with a proven record of accountabilityStrong communication skills both written and verbalMust be able to read plans, specs and technical specificationsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to perform on your feet throughout the day including a lot of walking and potentially climbing laddersPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in closely related discipline is preferredNuclear gauge license preferrablePrior experience working on commercial, industrial buildings preferredWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
