Senior Construction Program Manager

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM MANAGERCAP Government, Inc., is seeking a Senior Construction Program Manager to join our team. The candidateshould have experience overseeing multiple construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring theyare delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Some local travel may be requiredfor inspections and managing projects in the assigned area.We currently have positions available in our Miami-Dade office. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, analytical, andinterpersonal skills.Duties, Responsibilities, and QualificationsYou'll be responsible for project performance.The vision for this role is to provide program leadership for the consistent, efficient, and effective deliveryof the program of projects through a team-based structure.Provides overall program management and is the point of contact to the client leadership team for allprogram and project-related elements managed.Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a projectIncluding, estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review andcoordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparationEnsure an accurate and complete project estimateWork closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawingsParticipate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reducecosts, and provide value engineering ideasOversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractorsConduct bi-weekly job site meetingsMake sound decisions under tight deadlinesOrganize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired resultsCommit to quality by evaluating project-related processesMake necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal andexternal client expectationsAct in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, whilemaintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectationsPerform other related duties as assigned by the ManagerEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in building construction, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture orrelated field from an accredited university. A master's degree is preferred.Eight plus years of experience in mixed-use project development, management, administration, andinspection along with a demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, architecture principles &construction techniquesSkill in managing multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in dealing with municipal agencies.Professional Engineering License in Florida is preferred.Registered Architect License in Florida is a plus.Building Official License in Florida is a plus.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plusProgram Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.Program management experience consistent with the following requirements:o A minimum of three (3) years of program management experience, with at least two (2) years as aProgram Manager or similar role with equivalent responsibilities and;o Experience in leading as a Program Manager or serving in a similar role on the delivery of two or moreprograms, each with a capital value of $200 million or moreo Experience delivering concurrent programs with a total value of $350 million or more qualifies as oneof the required programs.;o Strong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team memberslocated in various locationso Excellent communication skillso Comfortable with presenting to client executives and in front of a large audience in a public settingEqual Opportunity Employer / Drug-Free Workplace / VeteransOur firm is committed to diversity in the workplace.
