Job DescriptionJob Title: Traveling Superintendent - Bridge & Rail ProjectsOverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent with strong experience in heavy civil construction - specifically bridge and/or rail projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, maintaining project safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed on schedule. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction supervisory experience and thrives in a fast-paced, travel-based environment.Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily construction activities on bridge and rail project sites. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental requirements, and company standards. Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and assist in schedule planning and updates. Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications. Conduct daily reports, document work activities, and communicate site conditions to leadership. Manage equipment, materials, and labor resources on-site. Represent the company professionally while traveling to various project locations. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on bridge or rail projects. Strong understanding of DOT standards, structural concrete, steel erection, rail work, or similar civil scopes. Proven ability to lead field crews and manage complex, multi-phase construction operations. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work on long-term out-of-town assignments. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with per diem provided for travel.
