We're looking for a motivated, collaborative engineer-either early-career or experienced-who's passionate about composites, polymer chemistry, failure analysis, and production problem-solving.o Work in a casual, professional environment with multi-disciplinary engineering teams who deliver cutting edge aerospace solutions.o Split your time between office, lab, and production floor-see ideas move from test to flight.o Influence real products on advanced and proprietary air platforms.o Clear paths for long-term career growth into technical leadership or management.o Use your curiosity and technical grit to solve meaningful manufacturing challenges every day.o Ensure the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Air Proprietary programs.What you'll doo Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods.o Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication.o Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions for material and process issues.o Create and execute test plans, write reports and input to specifications for materials, tools, and processes.o Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes.o Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory.o Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.o Travel to suppliers as needed.o Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines.o Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):o 2+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques.o Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques.o Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives.o Experience with composite failure modes (structural and nonstructural) and failure analysis.o Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans..o Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using Microsoft Officeo Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings.o Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment.REQUIRED EDUCATION:Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. (And a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience or a Master's degree.WORK HOURS:Full-Time/Second Shift1:00 PM - 10:30 PMADDITIONAL:Domestic travel: very slight chance of domestic.Possible OT up to 20%.
