Job Description: The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires exceptional professionalism, accuracy, and patient interaction skills. The Phlebotomist I creates a welcoming environment, explains procedures clearly, and performs blood draws safely and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established procedures. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required. 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Responsibilities: Perform specimen collection and processing following established procedures. Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment. Complete daily tasks accurately and on schedule under supervisor direction. Maintain proper documentation and required records. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff. Should Have: Strong customer service mindset. High level of professionalism and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Skills: Phlebotomy (pediatric and geriatric). Specimen handling and processing. Organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently. Qualification and Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states).
