Our work is 100% turnkey - so once the old piping is replaced, our drywall, paint, carpentry, and tiling teams are responsible for every final touch, including general labor tasks as directed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, precise, patient, production-oriented, and possesses a willingness to "do whatever it takes" to facilitate the completion of each unit.This role is intended to be a full-time hourly position, based in San Diego, and reports to a Project Manager.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Install ceramic, porcelain, stone, glass, and other tile materials on floors, walls, showers, tubs, backsplashes, and countertopsPerform layout, measuring, and cutting of tile to ensure accurate alignment and clean finishesPrepare surfaces for tile installation, including leveling, waterproofing, and applying underlayment or membranesSet tile using appropriate mortars, adhesives, spacers, and leveling systemsGrout, caulk, seal, and clean tile surfaces to achieve a finished, professional appearanceComplete punch-list items, including replacing cracked, chipped, or improperly set tiles; re-grouting, re-caulking, and adjusting tile transitions as neededEnsure all tile work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality standardsCoordinate with supervisors and other trades to resolve outstanding items efficientlyPerform minor touch-ups and adjustments required for final inspections, walkthroughs, and close-outMaintain clean, safe, and organized work areas within occupied or near-completion unitsMeet project deadlines to support timely unit turnover and deliveryAssist with the safe and timely movement of materials throughout the projectFollow all company procedures, safety requirements, and job-site protocols Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and othersMaintain a professional demeanor, ensuring minimal disruption to residentsIdentify and recommend process improvements, ensuring improved quality and deliverables (This job posting is not intended as a complete list of activities, duties, or responsibilities for this position.)Key Requirements:3+ years of experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and materialsAbility to read and interpret drawings, punch lists, and specificationsProficient with hand and power tools relevant to tile settingAbility to work independently and follow instructions with attention to detail and quality craftsmanshipReliable, punctual, and able to work as scheduled Strong work ethic and willingness to support various field tasks with a positive "no job is too big or too small" attitude Proficiency in English, written and spoken, with good communication skillsMust be able to regularly lift and carry 50-75 lbs, be capable of working at heights in high-rise environments, and able to climb stairs and laddersPREFERRED CANDIDATES will also have OSHA 10 certification; a high school diploma or GED; be proficient in Spanish; and/or have prior related military experience.Salary Range: $23 - $30 per hour based upon experience and qualifications plus eligibility for a generous weekly piece-rate bonusReady to be considered for this amazing opportunity at SageWater?If you're ready to take the next step and make a real difference in your life and career, don't wait-apply todayBackground Checks and Drug ScreeningsTo help ensure the safety of our communities and our teams, our selection process will include background checks and drug screenings, subject to any legal or regulatory requirements.Employment AuthorizationApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must be able to confirm their employment eligibility via E-Verify at the time of hire.
