If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for youSchedule:* 1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM* Occasional overtime based on business and production needsWhy Join DFA?* Competitive hourly pay starting at $26.00 per hour, including attendance incentives* Full, comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with company match, and more* Paid time off and holiday pay* Opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement in a growing, team-oriented environment* Be part of a nationwide cooperative that brings quality products from our farmers to families across the countrySummary:Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Lead performs quality assurance testing and laboratory functions for the facility while assisting with training and support for the Quality team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Understands production processes and advocate procedures to ensure that safe, quality products are producedKnowledge of federal, state, and customer requirementsConduct environmental sampling and maintaining spreadsheetsEffectively train employees on quality procedures as necessaryPerform Hold and Release procedure as neededPerform internal audits and facility verificationsStrong communication skills to collaborate with production supervisors and leads to effectively solve problems in a timely mannerSupport CCP training, verification, and calibrationConduct investigations and follow up on internal quality issuesCross-train to be back up for Quality Supervisor as neededParticipate in audits and inspections.Manage product retain and shelf-life programsTrain and mentor Quality staff in job tasks and proceduresAssist with New Item Set UpAssist with reviewing labels and supplier documentationMaintain extensive product knowledgeRevise and review facility procedures and documentsCover vacations for QA Team requiring flexibility of schedule working off shiftsEducation/Experience:* Associate degree in science related field; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Experience in cheese processing, food manufacturing, or QA preferred* Experience in QA, machine operation, or related role a plusSkills & Competencies:* Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, HACCP, and quality principles* Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)* Ability to read and interpret product specifications, lab manuals, and test results* Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds occasionallyAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransSalary:26.00 / hour
