Comply with company safety policies and procedures. Communicate directly with service adviser's regarding the status of the repair work. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques. Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plan repair process. Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status. Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind. Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost and cycle time. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders. Participate in all required safety meetings. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explain procedures to assistant.Technician Qualifications: Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment. Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge. Maintain sufficient personally owned tools. Ability to work independently. Detail oriented and quality driven. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.Experience in one or all of the following areas: 2 Year Truck/Auto Body Experience Tech School Certification Vo-Tech Graduate
