Hatch is currently seeking highly motivated Mechanical Engineers to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Pittsburgh, PA.As a successful candidate, you will:Perform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions within multi-disciplinary teams across established and emerging industries and markets.Assist project team in understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, execution strategy, cost, and scheduleSupport site field visits to obtain information and data to support projects.Support equipment identification and selection activities, including sizing, layout, technical specifications, and vendor information reviews.Support piping system design activities, such as hydraulic analysis, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, material specification development, stress analysis, and layout.Support population of information and attributes into the data-centric project environmentInterface with vendors throughout the design and procurement processSupport direct interface with the client throughout the project durationParticipate in HAZOP reviewsAssist in resolution of engineering issues during Project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioningPromote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of engineering workAdhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture.You bring to the role:Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited universityApproximately 2 to 7 years of engineering experienceStrong deliverable focus, ability to plan you workAbility to learn and understanding inter-discipline dependencies related to the Mechanical and Piping Engineering functionsExposure to procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologiesSound knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the ProjectWell-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsProfessional Engineer license or Engineer-In-Training status is preferredSite experience in a technical role is preferred.
