Job Title: DevOps EngineerJob DescriptionThis role blends hands-on engineering with emerging technical leadership responsibilities and will play a critical role in reliability, security, compliance, and operational maturity. You will work closely with software engineering and field operations teams to design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve highly available, mission-critical systems supporting public safety and government customers. This role operates with a strong Site Reliability Engineering mindset and participates directly in production operations. ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and operate highly available, mission-critical systems.
Ensure systems' reliability, security, compliance, and operational maturity. Collaborate closely with software engineering and field operations teams. Continuously improve system operations supporting public safety and government customers. Participate directly in production operations with a Site Reliability Engineering mindset.
Essential SkillsDevOpsOracle CloudKubernetesReliability engineeringTerraformProficiency with Infrastructure as Code conceptsHands-on experience operating production workloads in Oracle Cloud InfrastructureStrong experience with Kubernetes in production environmentsAdditional Skills & Qualifications4-year technical degree in BSEE, BSCS, or BSCEMinimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roleExperience operating single-tenant customer environmentsExposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworksWork EnvironmentThis position offers a remote work environment with a preference for candidates located in the EST/CST time zones. You will be part of a tight-knit team at the North American headquarters of an international machine vision integrator. The team is known for working well together to execute on technical projects, offering opportunities for up-and-coming engineers. The company specializes in innovative technology and applications.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
