Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Activity Bus Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting students and staff to various activities and events in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our community.Responsibilities- Safely operate a school bus or activity bus to transport students and participants to designated locations.- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.- Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes, and any incidents that occur during transportation.- Assist students and participants in boarding and disembarking from the bus, ensuring they are seated safely.- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, as well as established safety protocols.- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding transportation schedules and any changes.- Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the transportation supervisor promptly.- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety practices and policies.Requirements- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport.- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.- Previous experience driving a bus or similar vehicle is preferred but not required.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.- Must pass a fingerprint-based background check per school board policy and drug screenings.- CPR and first aid certification are a plus.- A commitment to providing a safe and positive environment for all passengers.
