Maintenance Technician This position is responsible for setting up molds and cycling them into specifications, maintaining all operations safely and efficiently, and ensuring acceptable quality and production requirements. Responsibilities: Set up molds and cycle them into specifications. Understand various materials, mixing materials, automatic color blenders, and cycles. Explain why different materials require different cycles. Distinguish various defects and dimensions. Possess knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems of machines. Troubleshoot minor problems and make adjustments to get machines into specifications. Properly shut down and start up machines. Train and assist other technicians to perform work. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Assist other job classifications and perform work as assigned. Assist in the training of other maintenance, production, and other personnel in areas of expertise. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Monitor assigned line's operation while complying with safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards. Apply knowledge in the maintenance and repair of extrusion, auxiliary, and support equipment. Analyze, set-up, and maintain equipment for safe and continuous operation. Essential Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and identify symbols and control circuits. Understand and troubleshoot PLC programs and logic. Troubleshoot electrical circuits with reasonable accuracy. Competent in installing motors, relays, starters, and control circuits. Ability to read hydraulic schematics and identify symbols and control circuits. Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits accurately. Perform maintenance on all types of equipment in the plant. Skillful in refrigeration, drying, conveying, fluid pumps, pneumatic circuits, and welding/fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Some post-secondary education preferred, such as technical or vocational education. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Basic math, computer, and organizational skills. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Demonstrated skills in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and systems using electric motors and sensors. Why Work Here?
