Adjunct Professor Positions:The Center for Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Chestnut Hill College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor for the Undergraduate Psychology Department. Applications will be reviewed regularly, and positions filled when needed. Courses will vary but may include Senior Seminar in Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Cognitive Psychology, Drugs and Behavior, and General Psychology.Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, is an independent, Catholic institution that strives to foster equality through education. Influences related to biology, particularly the workings of the brain, individual psychological processes such as cognition and emotions, and the effects of sociocultural surroundings are all considered as students are exposed to the breadth of the field. In addition, rigorous training in research methods prepares students for individual investigation and graduate study. Students can receive course credit for supervised field experiences through internships in their junior and senior years.Requirements:Master's degree in psychology or a related field. PhD preferred. Prepared to teach undergraduate courses in their area of expertise. Responsibilities: Teach courses in support of the undergraduate psychology major. Contribute to departmental duties such as assessment of the major and curriculum development. Perform usual duties associated with a part-time faculty appointment. Support the mission of Chestnut Hill College.
