Job DescriptionThe School of Mathematics & Sciences at the University of Tennessee Southern has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach various Math and Sciences courses. The position's principal responsibility is teaching. Further, the position is responsible for demonstrating academic competence in the appropriate subject matter area. Areas of potential need: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities1. Teach undergraduate courses in the School of Math & Sciences2. Must be willing to teach at times and locations that best suits the needs of students and the School of Math & Sciences. Times may include day, evening or online.QualificationsRequirements:• Graduate courses: Doctoral Degree in the course discipline or closely related area.• Undergraduate courses: Master's degree in qualifying discipline, or Master's degreewith 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of qualifying disciplines.• Experience teaching at the university level preferred.• Three letters of recommendation.• Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
