Data Center Technician*Updated 12/4 with multiple L1 Day shift openings*M-F 7am-4pm ESTSeeking an experienced Data Center Operations Technician responsible for server hardware break-fix and troubleshooting. Resolving server, hardware, and networking issues in hyperscale datacenter environment. Escalating to L2 and L3 Technicians as necessary. Responsibilities:Ensure mission critical servers are available and operating 24 hours a day and 7 days a weekAdministrator servers and implement hardware and software upgradesSupport development effort in review of system hardware; software and system design to assure system requirements are metPart of the team that sets policy; monitors; prioritizes; and develops standards; as well as maintains service levels; for the production environmentDesign, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure for multiple production environmentsProactively suggest alternative solutions and designs; third party tools; etc. to solve the problems at handRespond to all system problems on a 24X7 basis and take part in on-call rotationRun production jobs as scheduled. Monitor all server activity for problems; diagnose and resolve problems according to procedure.Escalate problems to the appropriate levels necessaryRequirements: Basic Qualifications:2+ years of experience deploying and supporting server and network devices in a 24/7 production data center environment2+ years of experience supporting enterprise-class computer & network systems, and data center infrastructure.Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):BA/BS Degree in technical field or equivalent practical experienceData center design and/or installationDesigning of structured cabling solutionsExperience with structured cabling, optic types, and cabling standards.Experience with structured cabling installation.Bicsi Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD)Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)Experience working in Unix/Linux environment.Experience with network troubleshootingExperience with project management including organizational, verbal, written, and analytical skillsExperience in large organization and interdependent team dynamicsCompensation: $30.80/hr W2 1.5x OT, benefit and 401k options, mileage and cell phone reimbursement Req# 16204
