This role is essential in preparing high‐quality meals for patients, retail operations, and catering services , while following strict dietary and safety standards. If you're passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a clean, structured environment—this is the perfect opportunity.What You'll DoPrep and prepare food items: cutting, slicing, dicing, chopping, pureeing, marinating, etc.Wash, peel, and process vegetables/fruits; weigh and measure ingredients.Follow standardized recipes and use multiple cooking techniques (sautéing, broiling, braising, baking, grilling, deep frying, steaming).Operate institutional cooking equipment while maintaining food quality and temperature standards.Properly chill, label, date, and store food per food safety and rotation procedures .Complete assigned food safety quality control logs .Follow dietary needs including allergens, modified textures, and nutritional restrictions.Clean and sanitize all equipment, appliances, and work areas.Essential SkillsExperience in food service, food prep, and cleaningKnowledge of food safety standardsSkilled in cooking, tray line, or line cook operationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExcellent customer service skills with a professional attitudeAbility to follow portion guidelines and dietary protocolsAssemble meals according to diet orders and menusMaintain clean and organized work areasUse kitchen tools and equipment safely and correctlyWork EnvironmentHospital setting — clean, climate‐controlled, and patient-facingUniforms providedMust have non-slip shoesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of St. Peters, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
