We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity spans 36 days, with day shifts scheduled between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, 35 days per week. The role involves caring for patients of all ages, including both children and adults. Job Details Location: California Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 LOA: 36 days Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Schedule: Standard 5-day, 8-hour shifts; 10:00 am 7:00 pm or 1:00 pm 7:00 pm; 35 days per week; assignment length 36 months Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive family practice medical care to patients of all ages, including children and adults Conduct patient examinations, assessments, and diagnoses within the family practice scope Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests as clinically indicated Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations Maintain accurate and timely patient records Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff Additional Information California medical license required (must be in-hand) Must possess a current DEA registration Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Board certification in Family Medicine preferred; board eligibility accepted Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
