Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity Location: Near New Braunfels, TXDates: ASAP - Ongoing We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage for a hybrid role in both Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSED) and Main Emergency Departments. This opportunity offers a flexible and rewarding practice environment with a balance of patient care settings and a supportive team, led by an experienced site director. Position Overview: Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Patient Volume: 8,000 annual visits, with 10% pediatric cases Shift Coverage: 24 hours of physician coverage 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage Facilities: Dedicated pediatric exam room for specialized care Qualifications: Board Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) Must be residency trained in Emergency Medicine Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills Proficient in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies Ability to make sound, timely decisions in high-pressure environments Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality emergency care across both FSED and Main ED settings, addressing a wide range of medical conditions Manage pediatric patients in a dedicated exam room and handle acute cases with precision and care Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring efficient patient flow and high standards of care Maintain clear and thorough communication with medical staff and patients, ensuring informed decision-making and quality outcomes Provide compassionate and focused care to pediatric and adult patients alike, emphasizing swift intervention and stabilization Why You Should Apply: Position Type: Locum Tenens, with a variety of work environments Start Date: ASAP Location: Near New Braunfels, TX, providing a mix of urban and rural emergency medicine practice Leadership: Supported by an experienced and seasoned site director who fosters a physician-led team culture Flexibility: Enjoy the balance between working in Freestanding ED and Main ED, ensuring a wide array of case exposure and experience.
