This role reports directly to the Claims Manager and requires hands-on experience with medical claims reimbursement.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAININGRequired:Minimum 2 years of verified claims adjudication experienceExperience in ambulatory, acute care hospital, HMO, or IPA environmentsMust have claims reimbursement experienceMust have DOFRMust have processed laboratory claimsHigh school diploma or GED required (physical proof must be available)Knowledge of managed care and office automation systemsStrong attention to detail and compliance standardsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcess, adjudicate, and pay UB-92 and HCFA-1500 medical claimsReview claims from affiliated medical groups and hospitalsEnsure compliance with timeliness and payment accuracy guidelinesApply payment methodologies for:Professional (MD) servicesHospital servicesSkilled Nursing FacilitiesAncillary servicesInterpret provider contract reimbursement termsIdentify non-contracted providers for potential Letters of AgreementMaintain accurate data entry within managed care systemsEnsure compliance with commercial, senior, and Medi-Cal claim requirements
