What You'll Do At Lowe's, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring our stores are clean, safe, and well-stocked with the products our customers need. As a Merchandising Assistant Manager, you will: Anticipate customer flow and adjust efforts and schedules to ensure optimal coverage when needed. Plan for sales spikes and maintain inventory levels to meet demand. Conduct safety inspections, monitor the use of store equipment, and coach associates on safe work practices. As a leader, you will guide a team of associates to provide outstanding service while ensuring a clean, safe, and fully-stocked store. You will be responsible for achieving sales and margin goals while enhancing operational efficiencies and maximizing customer satisfaction with the Lowe's in-store experience. At times, you may be required to oversee the entire store. You will work closely with the store leadership team, District Manager, and Area support staff to assess customer needs and devise effective methods for meeting service, sales, and operational objectives. Additionally, you may be rotated through Specialty and Operations assignments for cross-training and professional development. Travel Requirements: This role typically does not require frequent travel; however, you may occasionally need to travel for meetings, training, or to assist neighboring stores. What We Are Looking For This is a salaried position, generally scheduled for 48 hours per week, with additional hours possible based on business needs. You should be available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings any day of the week. The physical demands of the role include the ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds without assistance; heavier lifting may require assistance. What You Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment. 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, overseeing daily store operations and processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Capability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 5 years of experience leading service associates in retail or consumer service industries. 3 years of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities in daily store operations. Experience in the home improvement retail sector. Broad knowledge of product categories such as flooring, cabinets, appliances, and home décor. Familiarity with store computer systems including project management and inventory systems. If a salesperson license is required for this position, you must be licensed or pass the necessary exam within 60 days of starting employment. Lowe's is an equal opportunity employer.
