Location: Front Royal, VA Compensation: $68,000 + Comprehensive Benefits PackageSUMMARYThis position supervises warehouse and distribution activities to promote safe, efficient, and optimal utilization of facilities, equipment, and personnel. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures work standards are met to accurately receive, put away, and ship merchandise while maintaining warehouse integrity, security, and productivity. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate effectively and positively with colleagues and managementMonitor receiving and shipping processes to ensure efficient unloading, put-away, selection, and loading of productReinforce company policies, Preferred Work Methods, and Best Business PracticesPlan and schedule staffing to cover vacations, holidays, workers' compensation, and shift coverageBalance workflow across departments to maintain productivity using labor management systemsCoach, evaluate, recognize, and address performance through ongoing colleague feedbackReduce overtime using the Daily Planning ToolPartner with Transportation to maximize receiving and shipping flowWork closely with Inventory Control and Operations Systems to maintain product integrity and proper rotationFoster a collaborative, engaged, and performance-driven work environmentMaintain accurate and timely colleague documentation and recordsAct as a problem solver for colleague relations and departmental needsMinimize warehouse shrink through effective inventory controlsEnsure warehouse, equipment appearance, maintenance, and securityEnforce safety rules and participate in safety committees and coaching initiativesConduct stay interviews with direct reports and follow up on feedbackReview and approve timekeeping records to meet payroll deadlinesEnsure safe and professional use of warehouse systems, computers, and RF equipmentComply with all company policies, codes of conduct, and attendance requirementsEnsure compliance with OSHA, HACCP, food safety policies, and regulatory requirementsSupport food safety programs and Sysco's Food Safety CommitmentPerform additional duties or special projects as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervise 15–25 warehouse colleaguesRecruit, interview, hire, train, and develop staffPlan, assign, and direct work while evaluating and coaching performanceManage confidential information in compliance with company and legal standardsQUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of ageInternal non-exempt candidates must be in a lead role or have prior supervisory experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to plan, organize, analyze data, and solve problemsComfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to pass a functional capacity testEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree preferred, or 3–5 years of warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCompletion of a supervisory training program requiredWHY JOIN USCompetitive $68,000 base salaryComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and more)Opportunity to grow within a leading organization committed to safety, performance, and people Apply today and join our team in Front Royal, VA.
