Senior Critical Environment Technician

Our client, a leader in critical infrastructure and data center operations, is seeking a Senior Critical Environment Technician - Diesel Generators to join their team. As a Senior Critical Environment Technician, you will be part of the Critical Environment Operations department supporting maintaining and troubleshooting diesel generator systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Generator Technician - Data Center (Contract)Location: Onsite - Mt. Pleasant, WIDuration: 18 month contractPay Rate: $45/hour - $48/hr.+ Benefits & PTOWhat's the Job? Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on diesel generators, including high-horsepower units (500 kW+) Conduct monthly inspections, including oil and coolant level checks, leak detection, battery inspection, and HMI alarm reviews Troubleshoot generator issues using OEM diagnostics and escalate unresolved problems Maintain accurate documentation of generator running hours, error messages, and maintenance actions Collaborate with Critical Environment Managers and Site Engineers to ensure generator systems meet operational standards What's Needed? Minimum of 5 years of experience with diesel generators, preferably Cummins equipment Familiarity with generator controls, including PLCs, switchgear, and automated systems Certifications in electrical power systems are a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately What's in it for me?
