Adelphi is seeking an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide examinations and preventive health services at a facility in Buckingham, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement care plans, and maintain medical records.Job Quick Facts:• Ref#: BD-353-43• Profession: Nurse Practitioner I• Location: Buckingham, Virginia• Service Setting: Correctional Facility• Job Type: Contract• Coverage Type: Clinical• Start Date: ASAP• Shift schedule: Mon-Fri, 4-10 hours shifts(Day shifts)• Rate: $56-$63 (Pay rate will be determined by the facility based on qualifications and experience)Requirements:• Active Virginia license• DEA certification• BLS/ACLSResponsibilities:• Works independently with minimal supervision to perform physical examinations and preventive health measures.• Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.• Order and perform diagnostic procedures.• Prescribe controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations.• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.• Provides education to patient, healthcare, and correctional staff.• Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.• Additional duties as assigned by facility.
