Fire Alarm Technician

The unique blend of our leader's abilities and the ownership of their work, combined with our culture and values, creates something that is simply described as the Davis-Ulmer difference.As a result of continued growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD.As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:Repair/service, troubleshoot and install fire alarm system, voice/evacuation & power extender panels, annunciators & fire alarm dialers. Identify fire alarm deficiencies. Knowledge of different types of panels and how to access programming features. Troubleshooting knowledge of field wiring and output circuits. Ability to read and use a multi-meter properly. Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers Obtain and/or maintain NICET certification. Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis. Qualifications:Microsoft Office programs Familiarity with Firelite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell & Siemens systems Valid state driver's license. Travel between customer sites daily within the Baltimore & Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic electrical skills Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:NICET Any specific manufacturer factory training certification or license. Journeyman or Master's electrical license Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic) Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.
