Part-time School Bus Driver with Competitive Pay and Sign-on Bonus

Join Rolling V Bus Corp as a School Bus Driver and enjoy the perfect blend of pay, benefits, and flexibility. You'll play an essential role in your community by safely transporting children to and from school. We are offering a starting rate of $22.00 per hour along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. As a valued member of our team, you'll drive a school bus according to a set schedule, ensuring student safety and timeliness. Beyond standard routes, there's also the opportunity for extra work on charter trips to community events. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate the school bus in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus. Maintain cleanliness of the bus as required. Promptly report any maintenance issues. Pick up and drop off students on schedule, ensuring their safety as passengers. Maintain order and address any behavioral issues with students respectfully. Document and report any disciplinary concerns appropriately. Skills and Qualifications: Possess a valid NYS CDL License with P and S endorsements (or we offer FREE CDL training for candidates with a permit). Meet all 19A NYS School Bus Driver requirements. Demonstrate strong knowledge of traffic laws and driving safety practices. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively. Experience working well with children and earning their respect. Willingness to adapt to new technology relevant to the job. Requirements: Application & Background Check: Complete all necessary NYS and Federal documents and background checks. Identification: Provide valid forms of ID for employment. References: List three references for our company to contact. Documentation: Provide a history of residential addresses. Work Hours: Morning: 6:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. Afternoon: 1:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Extra hours may become available after permanent placement on a bus route).
