CHEP is seeking a motivated Plant Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift to join our team in Hammond, LA.As a Plant Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Plant Manager in managing total plant operations and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality and cost.Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday 3:30pm – 3am ( with OT on Fridays when needed )What experience will you bring?Prior experience in a plant supervisory role in an engineering, production or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with private fleet management/transportation is helpfulGeneral understanding of automation systems and production line mechanicsStrong organizational and communication skillsStrong customer focus orientationStrong people management capability including non-exempt production workforceDemonstrated success in delivering strong employee relationsDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionallyExperience managing safety performance and programsUnderstanding of supply chain practices and metrics and data analysisFamiliarity with Lean Thinking concepts and practicesFamiliarity with mechanical/electrical systems and line adjustmentsSkills & KnowledgeAbility to build effective teamsProblem solving and critical thinking skillsCoaching and Conflict Management SkillsExcellent Communication skillsProject Management skillsComputer SkillsAbility to delegate effectivelyWhat We Offer:Competitive pay & annual bonus structureBenefits starting Day 1Paid time off + holiday observances401K with company match (up to 4%)Free vision, short-term disability, and life insuranceTuition reimbursement, parental leave, childcare assistance, profit sharing, and moreA culture that supports women in leadership and career advancementSalary ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs.
