The successful candidate will report to the CFO and work closely with the remainder of the accounting team, operations personnel, and brand managers. The Cost Accountant will have full costing responsibilities primarily for HPAG's manufactured products but will also review sourced products.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Include, But Are Not Limited to the Following: Compilation and analysis of manufacturing costs for raw materials, direct labor, and overhead for all assemblies. This will necessitate an understanding of our product manufacturing process and the progression of work orders through the Shop Floor. Reconciliation of data between HPAG's ERP system and its supporting manufacturing data system. Timely execution of assigned monthly closing processes, including the enhancement of closing documentation. Preparation and execution of audits as requested. Assistance with budgets and forecasts, including the development of financial models. Development of a fully burdened cost model for our imported products, encompassing inbound freight and duties (tariffs). Development and maintenance of a materials consumption model that quantifies the monetary differences between current market prices and the actual costs from the trailing twelve months. Execution and control of unit cost changes and cost rolls. Review of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for completeness. Specific Skill Requirements Experience with ERP systems. Proficient in Excel; a background in Business Intelligence is advantageous. Capability to document processes and procedures effectively. Ability to identify areas lacking sufficient cost analysis, alongside the capacity to develop cost accounting techniques that address these deficiencies. Strong communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and confidently as projects arise. Proficiency in interacting with the CEO, CFO, VPs, and peers on a daily basis, including both verbal interactions and email correspondence. Credentials and Other Requirements 1-5 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a standard cost environment. Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. References.
