Part -Time Student Support Assistant (Previously Para-educator)Job no: 494625Work type: Staff Part-TimeLocation: Lafayette, LACategories: Adult EducationCollege: SoLAccDepartment: Academic & Student AffairsSub department: Academic Initiatives | Adult EducationType of Appointment: Part time - TemporarySalary: $15/hourDuties and Responsibilities:25% - Administers assigned tests evaluating student learning.10% - Checks students' work in the classroom and demonstrates instructional material.10% - Files student work and maintains related records.10% - Tutor students and assist teachers.8% - Corrects student assignments and records student grades.5% - Reproduces instructional material for the teacher.5% - Provides clerical support to assigned professional by typing related material and compiling information.5% - Assists in collecting and maintaining data about student behavior; assists in implementing behavior management programs.5% - Assists in the set up and maintenance of adaptive and technological equipment.5% - Maintains an inventory of classroom materials and equipment.5% - Performs other duties as assigned.3% - Assists in arranging instructional site to facilitate learning.2% - Prepares bulletin boards.2% - Attends faculty and related meetings.Required Education:High School Diploma or GEDRequired Experience:One-year office clerical experienceBenefits: As a member of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, SoLAcc has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
