Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Assistant Manager, where you will play a crucial role in driving store success. In this position, you will assist with day-to-day store operations, optimize overall store performance, manage employee schedules, and collaborate on operational strategies. Your leadership will foster team development and encourage staff growth through training opportunities. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 38 hours per week Starting Wage: $26.00 per hour Wage Increase: Year 2 - $27.00 per hour Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the store leader to create and implement action plans that enhance operational outcomes. Clearly communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members. Identify and facilitate training and development initiatives to uplift team performance. Model and instill company values and strategies to cultivate a strong sense of teamwork among employees. Monitor local competitors and advise on necessary adjustments to maintain competitive edge. Provide product insights and suggestions for inventory management. Participate actively in the hiring process of store personnel. Relay important information regarding team milestones and updates. Oversee adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies to prevent losses. Resolve customer concerns effectively in the absence of the store leader. Ensure safety protocols are followed, and that store equipment remains in excellent condition. Maintain high cleanliness standards and proper signage throughout the store. Assist in managing stock levels through effective product ordering. Present products attractively to enhance sales. Guarantee quality and freshness of products and accuracy of product information. Support the store leader in meeting payroll and loss management goals while overseeing new employee training. Manage daily operations of the team and escalate issues as needed. Ensure team members complete tasks efficiently to deliver exceptional customer service. Comply with all company policies while safeguarding document confidentiality. Perform additional tasks as required. Physical Demands: Ability to stock and move merchandise, including lifting items up to 45 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and navigate the store. Must be able to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodations. Job Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Commitment to delivering prompt and courteous customer service. Strong ability to build trust and communication with team members. Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Proficient in performance assessment and goal setting. Understanding of budgeting and expense management principles. Efficient operation of cash registers. Safe and adept in using store equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask while paying attention to detail. Must meet any local and state requirements for selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience. A combination of relevant education and experience is acceptable. Prior management experience is preferred.
