Regional health care provider serving a six-county area in central Pennsylvania is seeking a BE/BC Neurologist.The practice currently includes 3 neurologists and 3 APPs with plans to grow to 5 neurologists 2 inpatient and 3 outpatient office practice physicians. Our neurology team provides general neurology, neurophysiology, electro-diagnostic medicine, stroke, neuro-ophthalmology, sleep medicine and Botox migraine treatment to residents within a six-county region.About The Opportunity100% of the neuro-hospitalists work is with inpatients in the UPMC Altoona Hospital. Work schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off with on-call coverage during the week on. Work includes rounding on approximately 18-20 inpatients per day, answering an average of 4-6 inpatient consults per day, and responding to in-hospital stroke team activations.Competitive compensation and benefits package includes an income guarantee, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, annual CME stipend, paid vacation, health/dental/vision and life insurance, retirement benefits and malpractice insurance.Hospital is a level II trauma center, a regional cardiology, cardiac & vascular surgery center, a regional cancer center, and a JCAHO-Accredited Stroke Center.
