Key Responsibilities Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations; promptly report any illegal activities, including robbery or theft. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, identifying unsafe conditions and communicating with management. Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated. Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and customer areas to uphold departmental standards. Manage inventory effectively, including ordering and shelf maintenance for non-prescription drugs. Handle phone inquiries professionally and triage calls to appropriate departments. Promote store sales and services to customers and fellow associates. Follow policies for accepting vendor coupons and manage cash handling to minimize losses. Utilize the cash register efficiently while adhering to company policies regarding transactions. Provide excellent customer experiences by assisting with product dispensing where permitted by state law. Remain compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company policies. Support health and wellness initiatives within the company. Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflict in a cooperative manner to foster a positive atmosphere. Handle sensitive customer and business information with integrity. Follow guidance and seek help as needed to resolve customer or business-related issues. Interact supportively with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage confidential information responsibly. Desired: Previous experience in a comparable role. Background in customer service, including cash handling and phone support. Experience with inventory management in a retail setting.
