The Department of Internal Medicine at this prestigious university is seeking a full-time board-certified Infectious Disease (ID) Physician to join their practice and serve as the Division Chief. The Chief of Infectious Disease will be responsible for supervising the professional work of other ID providers and the programs and activities conducted by the ID service line.Applicants with credentials to support the rank of associate or full professor will be considered. The Division of Infectious Disease focuses on adult care and is involved in population and public health, supporting several local Federally Qualified Health Centers.Successful applicants will assist with the residency program needs and quality improvement programs. There are expectations for career advancement through the academic promotions process.Additional responsibilities for this role include but not limited to:Oversee the division, by actively promoting the division in clinical care, research, and continuing medical education through programs that maximize exposure of our exceptional programs, faculty and expertise Oversee the day-to-day clinical service responsibilities in the area of ID Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers Recruit and retain existing high caliber faculty and staff Proactively seek entrepreneurial opportunities for the division Administrative duties as assignedCommunity Information: The area has a certain magic that keeps you on your toes.
