To motivate players to excel at all times,during practice and in actual competition. Motivated players to develop a feeling of cooperation and teamwork among members of theteam and staff. To assist the head coach as necessary with the program.The program is an extension of the classroom and coaches must handle their approach as teachers.Job Summary:An assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach by directly training players, developing strategies, analyzing opponent'sstrengths and weaknesses, managing practice drills, providing feedback to players and performing administrative tasks as directed by thehead coach to ensure overall success of the team all while upholding the team's values and promoting sportsmanship.Qualifications:Assistant Baseball Coach Experience RequiredValid Driver's licenseHigh School DiplomaState of Ohio Pupil Activity PermitFederal and State Background checkSport Medicine Certified as required by Ohio High School Athletic AssociationCPR, Concussion and any other required TrainingAbility to be cooperative in working with players, parents, administrators and communityKnowledge of school and athletic policies regarding students with respect to scholarship, personal conduct standards, health and safety factorsMust process the knowledge and the necessary skills of the sportExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational skillsWorking Conditions:Often subjected to extremes of cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, and dust.Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases.
