HVAC Foreman

Job Title: HVAC ForemanLocation: Manhattan, NYPay: $50/hour + Benefits We are an established and growing commercial mechanical contractor seeking a highly skilled HVAC Foreman to oversee field operations on mid- to large-scale commercial projects throughout New York City's five boroughs. This role is for a strong, hands-on leader who can manage crews, maintain productivity, and deliver high-quality HVAC installations in demanding urban environments.The HVAC Foreman will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, leading HVAC installation crews, coordinating with project management and other trades, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and NYC codes.Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and motivate HVAC field crews on commercial job sitesPlan and assign daily work activities, manpower, and equipmentInstall and oversee commercial HVAC systems including:Ductwork, piping, VAVs, RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, and VRF systemsRead, interpret, and build from mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and specificationsCoordinate work with general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other tradesMaintain jobsite safety in compliance with OSHA, company, and NYC requirementsTrack productivity, material usage, and manpower hoursIdentify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or costPerform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company standardsParticipate in job meetings and provide field updates to project managementTrain, mentor, and evaluate journeymen and apprenticesMaintain daily reports, timecards, and jobsite documentation as requiredRequirements:Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, with foreman or lead mechanic experience preferredStrong background in commercial mechanical construction (not residential)Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and materialsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specificationsFamiliarity with NYC mechanical codes and jobsite conditionsStrong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain productivity in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsAPPLY today for immediate consideration
