StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the larger healthcare companies in the state of Louisiana to assist them in recruiting an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their Emergency Department team at a high-volume, 60-bed Level II Trauma Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside board-certified emergency physicians, residents, and a highly skilled clinical support team in a Magnet-designated hospital and Stroke & Chest Center of Excellence.Position Highlights:Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity settingWork collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians and healthcare teams to diagnose and manage acute and critical conditionsPerform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatment plans, and provide follow-up careAssist in managing high-acuity cases, trauma patients, and medical emergenciesUtilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient managementParticipate in the Fast Track unit for lower-acuity cases, optimizing patient flow and care efficiencyPerks & Benefits:Work in a state-of-the-art, high-volume emergency department with excellent clinical supportBe part of a top-ranked healthcare system offering a full range of emergency medical and surgical servicesLive and work in Baton Rouge, a city known for its vibrant culture, great food, outdoor recreation, and top-tier universitiesEnjoy a mild climate and access to lakes, coastal areas, and year-round festivalsQualifications:Board Certified NP/PA, with active license and prescriptive authority in the State of Louisiana requiredMinimum 1-2 years of emergency medicine or acute care experience preferredCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsStrong ability to work in a high-volume emergency setting with approximately 100,000 patient visits per yearThis is a fantastic opportunity for an Emergency Medicine APP looking to make an impact in a Level II Trauma Center while experiencing the Southern charm and dynamic lifestyle of Baton Rouge.
