This may include analog and digital circuitry, power transmission and distribution, signal and communications systems. Diagnoses instrument and electrical and/or electronic system problems. Services, troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces and maintains instrument and electrical and/or electronics component level in surface and downhole equipment. Independently performs analytical troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical and/or electronic systems. May independently develop, test and debug firmware for Microprocessor/Micro-controller/DSP system. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria,using a judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Develops specifications, process study, research investigations, and report preparation. Provide technical guidance to designers/drafters and less experience engineers as required. May provide technical leadership in developing solutions and/or devising new approaches to problems encountered. Incorporates reliability analysis during the design and test process. Comply with Halliburton HSE and Service Quality requirements.Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Professional Electrical/Electronic, Principal-related occupation.Position also requires experience in the following:Experience with Hydraulic systems, understanding hydraulic diagram and hydraulic-electronic actuators.Experience with power electronics design/testing and motor control.Experience with digital electronics development/testing applied to embedded systems in harsh environments (oil & gas, aerospace or defense applications).Experience with firmware validation requirements, and developing/executing test plans and test setups, utilizing both firmware and hardware debugging tools.Experience in programming microcontrollers for signal measurement, signal processing, and feedback control.Experience in hardware description languages for FPGAs such as VHDL and Verilog.Experience in signal integrity analysis using lab test equipment and simulation, and performing logic/timing analysis.Experience with commonly used computational languages such as C.To apply, visitjobs.halliburton.comand enter #202722 in "search by keyword" field.
