The job description for your reference is below for your review:Job Title: Quality Lead 2 - QLA2Work Location: Marina Cove Drive, Columbus, GA 31904Duration: 3 YearsSchedule: Monday to Friday, 1st ShiftPosition OverviewThe Quality Lead (AWS/CWI) will serve as a Site Construction Quality Lead supporting Hydro Modernization Program.This position may be filled at the QCA2 level depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.This is an in-person field position that requires regular travel between multiple hydro sites across Georgia to support ongoing project needs. One position will be based near Bartlett's Ferry or Oliver Dam (Marina Cove Drive, Columbus, GA 31904). The second position will be based near Nacoochee Dam (Lakemont, GA 30552). Both positions will travel to various hydro facilities throughout Georgia as project needs arise.Key Responsibilities Assist Project Management in the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan. Provide oversight of onsite contractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and standards. Develop and maintain surveillance schedules, perform surveillances, and document results. Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure adherence to project requirements. Assist in developing and documenting site-specific procedures and guidelines. Participate in pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and other contractor meetings to ensure understanding of project quality requirements. Support Construction Management in implementing preventive maintenance and managing overall project quality. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project quality requirements. Desired Qualifications 10+ years of experience in construction quality oversightORBachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience. CWI/AWS certification required. AMPP/NACE certification preferred. Strong understanding of weld inspection and mapping. Experience with quality surveillances, hold points, and witness points. Working knowledge of ASME, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, and ACI standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. Proficient in developing and reviewing inspection test plans and quality documentation. Excellent communication skills; proactive and self-motivated. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a construction site environment.
